As of this summer, Jacob and Sarah were still sharing a bedroom while Adam had his own room next door. We've been talking for a while now about moving Sarah into her own room and putting the boys together (we only have 3 bedrooms in our house). We'd talked earlier this summer about redoing their rooms and had everyone's input for color and decor and had been collecting posters, art, etc to put up once the rooms were ready. This summer has been pretty busy and when August came around, we realized we'd better get on this project or it wouldn't happen before school started.
We finally had one weekend relatively open, bought paint and got started. The boys had agreed they wanted a Detroit Tigers bedroom so we chose paint colors to convert their room from The Very Hungry Caterpillar to a boy's baseball room! Sarah's new room didn't need painting thankfully (the walls are blue/purple) but she wanted to paint a couple canvases and make new curtains. The painting went smoothly but took a few days but we all love how it turned out! Sarah finished up her paintings and hung those on her wall above her bed and all we have left to do is make curtains/valances for each room (which can't happen until I get my sewing machine back from getting a tune up). The boys have done well sharing their room and Sarah loves having her own room! What do you think?
(excuse the messy bedrooms...they're well lived in already! ha!)
