No, this post has nothing to do with the Super Bowl. As I'm writing this, the game is on and New York is losing but I have no idea who will win in the end.
What this post IS about though is my kids. Its no secret that my kids are tall. Like myself and my brothers, they already stand out in a crowd of their peers. It really isn't surprising except for when you think about how little they were - especially Jacob. 4 lbs. 17 inches long. The boy hit 3 months old though and started to catch up..and never stopped growing.
Jacob and Sarah and their 5 year check ups last week. Jacob is 46.75" tall and 54.5 lbs. Easily in the 97th percentile. Sarah was 44.25" tall and 45 lbs putting her in about the 75th percentile. At almost 3" shorter and 10 lbs lighter than her brother, its not obvious that they are twins anymore. When I have all 3 kids together, people think I just have 3 right in a row, close in age.
I had the best intentions to pull the camera out this weekend for some candids and get some comparison pics of the kids' heights...but that didn't happen. I can only imagine how tall Jacob will eventually be. I'm 6'1", Paul stands about 5'11/6' tall. My brother Michael is 6'3" and Andy was about 6'6". Some of Jacob's friends are a full head shorter than he is.
I wonder at what age Jacob or Adam will be taller than me..I'm certain it'll happen - its just a matter of when...

Wow! My Baby A is already standing at my natural waist...I just can't believe how TALL she seems! She's measuring in the 75th percentile for height, too. I'm pretty sure she's going to surpass my 5'2" frame...maybe in middle school! HA!
Of course I was "tall" in middle school...I just didn't grow any more. ;)
It is incredible to think how SMALL our babies were when they were born, barely on the growth chart for the first few months. :)
Gosh Barb, you should see the Princess. Somewhere last year she was above the 100th percentile for length. A real advantage in Netball though. The boys however are rather short at the moment.
