Tagged

Debi, a long time blogging buddy, from Who Says 8 is Enough? tagged me in a meme the other day. I haven't done one in years and I thought I'd play along!

Her questions:

1. Word association. I say “tender”, you say Love me (as in Love Me Tender....Elvis).

2. What is the most important virtue you possess?
Trustworthy? Dependable? Responsible?

3. Favorite song and why?
This is a tough question because there are so many songs I love for different reasons. One of my all time favorite songs is Take On Me by Aha. Why? I don't really have a meaningful answer to that other than I love the song and the video for it.

4. If you had to choose someone from the Bible that most closely represents you, who would it be?
I honestly have no idea...despite being raised Catholic, I don't feel like I know the Bible well.

5. A quote or inspirational verse that you turn to when times are tough.
I'm not sure this is the best but its the only one I can think of off the top of my head: Shoot for the moon because even if you miss, you'll land amongst the stars.

 6. What is your favorite recipe?
Chicken and Rice. Its nothing fancy but its one that my Mom always made and I loved as a kid. Its one I can make now without even having to look at the recipe (which I'm usually a "stick to the recipe" kinda-gal) AND my kids eat it!

7. Most dramatic childhood memory.
One of my most vivid childhood memories is of the day when I met my BFF. I was about 3 years old and just met her that day at a house across the street. Her big brother was supposed to take me home at dinner time but instead my friend hid me under the bed in the back bedroom. I fell asleep and when I didn't come home, everyone thought I was lost. I woke up to hear frantic cries from friends and family looking for me. My brother finally found me peeking out from under the bed and 30+ years, Lisa and I are still the best of friends!

8. If you were a tree, what kind of tree would you be?
A redwood because I'm so tall! ha!

 9. If you could change one thing about how you look, what would it be?
My nose. I've learned to accept my height and appreciate it. I know I can make changes if I'm not happy with my weight. I like my eyes and my hair...but my nose. Sheesh!

 10. Coffee? Iced, frozen, hot or not?
I like coffee both ways but most importantly, it has to be full of flavor and sweetener. I can't take black coffee. I drink it less sweeter than I used to but I still can't stomach plain black coffee. Considering I never even drank coffee until I was a Mom, its a big change!

11. A moment in time that changed your life?
Honestly? I already wrote about it above...the day I met my BFF. Her and I have been through so much together - a lifelong friendship that also helped lead me to my husband and future family. I would absolutely not be who I am today if it were not for Lisa.

aren't Best Friends the best? I don't think I could get through many days without knowing I could turn to mine whenever I need her.
