While riding in the car on the way home from daycare, I asked Adam the usual "What did you do today?" He was trying to think of something to tell me and in his silence, Jacob started making suggestions such as "Did you do puzzles? Did you color? Did you read a book? Did you do play doh?...." when Adam (rightfully) yelled at him "No Jacob! Let ME talk! I talk MYSELF!" (So proud of him! We get after his siblings frequently to let HIM talk and that they don't need to talk for him anymore - he's fully capable!)

Sarah was in the middle of a puzzle one night and said he had to go potty. Instead of walking, she began to crawl across the room. When Paul asked her why wasn't she walking, she replied "My legs are out of breath!"

I feel bad laughing at Jacob's expense but he's blurted out some funny things while we've been trying to clean and treat his infection this week. Paul was trying to clean the area again before bedtime and Jacob was trying to get him to stop so he yelled "Look out behind you Daddy! There's a shark!"

On a sweet side, Sarah was a very supportive sister this week. While the Dr, nurse and I held him down so she could get a culture, Sarah held his hand, stroked his hair and tried to comfort him saying "Its ok buddy. They're just trying to help you. Just hold still."
A short while later, her brave front fell as she realized she'd have to go to school by herself the next day or two. She immediately tried to convince me that she didn't feel well and she wanted to stay home, too. She even tried to bargain "I'll go to Kindergarten myself but not daycare." I ended up sticking to my guns that she needed to do both herself. Amazingly, she survived. ;-)
