Our littlest man celebrated his 3rd birthday Friday! I still can't believe he's actually 3 years old! He's SO full of personality though - such an amazing mix of his siblings, Daddy and I.
Adam got to take treats to school Friday and was so excited to have his "cake" (which was actually blondies) with his friends. I hurried out of work and got there just as they were getting ready for snack and he got to help pass out treats. He was so proud and so cute!
We celebrated at home Friday evening - he got to pick what he wanted for dinner, which was pizza with cheese and olives. I had also let him decide if he wanted me to make a cake or if he saw one at the store he liked and a yummy chocolate one caught his eye so we took that home for his celebration. Grandma and his Uncle Dave came over for dinner, cake and presents and he had fun opening his gifts. Jacob and Sarah picked out a cool Cars rug that looked like a map of Radiator Springs along with some of the Cars characters to race around on it. Daddy and I got him some clothes, a big boy pillow and a Potty Time dvd, cd and watch (We can hope, right?). Grandma got him a fun remote controlled tractor and a musical card that he loved just as much! ha!
We had a quiet weekend at home and plan to celebrate his birthday, along with his cousins (and Paul's) next weekend at his other Grandma's house. The kids are all looking forward to it and can't wait to see Luke and Owen again!
We capped the long weekend off with his 3 year check up. I'm happy to say we had no concerns about his health or development and Dr was happy to see/hear how he's doing, also! The biggest thing was how well his skin is doing - his eczema is definitely still there but so very well under control! We haven't even had to return to the dermatologist since last winter, thanks to their good regimen! He passed his vision screening with flying colors (or shapes since that's what he had to ID on the poster down the hall...) and is at the top of the charts for his growth: Our 'not so little' little dude weighs 36 lbs and stands 38" tall! I need to look back to see how that compares to Jacob but I'm sure its not far off - I don't grow little kids!! (update: Found the Twinkies' 3 year stats here!)
Thanks to everyone who sent birthday wishes for our little dude!

I love every single one of these pictures.
I love a big boy pillow as a present. That never even occurred to me!
He dwarfs the Crazies, BTW.
Our girls got a musical card this weekend, from my dad. They LOVE it. It's a cat and a dog "singing" Happy Birthday. It was funny the first couple of times, but after 117 times, I'm really the one saying *THANKS, DAD*. ;)
That Cars rug looks really cool!
And we should definitely stay in touch...I'm growing a big Baby B, apparently, at 37.5"...she will likely need a tall date to the prom. HA!
So glad Adam had a great birthday celebration! Loved all the pictures!
Oops...that's Baby A that is tall. B is just 35.75". :)
Looks like a fun celebration for your little guy! Happy birthday and born day to you!
