My baby is 3 today. Everyone always says how grown up and mature he was for a 2 year old (a couple of his new teachers didn't even know he was 2...they thought he was turning 4 this week!)...but to actually say he's 3??!?! That means he really IS growing up and I wish I could slow things down.
I clearly remember the day I found out I was pregnant again and the feeling of surprise and panic (I had 18 month old twins!). I remember even better how amazing it was the day he was born and all this his pregnancy and birth gave to me. I remember the many nights, sitting in his rocking chair, nursing him and cuddling him. I remember his first smile, his first moves, his HUGE grins, when he started to crawl, how much I loved having him close in one of his baby carriers, his dimples, his adorable baby giggles! (seriously, if you click on only one link in this post - click this one!), his dance moves, his first birthday, his first steps, his adorable baby curls, how much he loves trains, how bad his eczema used to be, his adorable voice...so much I want to remember and hold on to forever! (And times like this I'm seriously so thankful for this blog to have documented so much of it!).
Adam amazes me each and every day with a new skill or piece of knowledge that I realize he has tucked up in that (big) lil head of his! He is such a sponge lately - learning SO much from his siblings and at school. He knows most of his letters AND even most of his alphabet sounds! He is tracing his name pretty well and so eager to learn and try new things. He loves to play with his siblings and keep up with them. He still loves his Mama, above anyone else, but loves to be silly and rough with Daddy, too. He's sweet and affectionate. He has an amazing memory, loves to tell stories, likes to play games and likes to run away (naughty boy!).
He is So excited about his birthday today. He's been talking about it all week, talking about taking Brownies to school for his treat, singing Happy Birthday, eating Pizza with cheese for dinner (his choice), having a party and turning 3!
So, as I try to keep myself composed as my baby grows up right before my very eyes, I'll leave with one last smile. He's been trying so hard to tell everyone he's 3 tomorrow and those little fingers have just not been cooperating with him as he tries to hold up 3 fingers....God I love my kid!! ha!
Is this right?
No! THIS is it!
Hooray! I'm #3...er 1...!!!
Oh hell, who cares! Its my BIRTHDAY!!!
Happy Birthday Baby boy!!!
